Q. | I was still using your old series numbers for diamonds, gemstones, and metals, but they don’t work in the new form. Why not? |
A. | We discontinued the use of these old numbers internally in 2004, but had to maintain them until such a time that the website programming could be brought in line with our order entry and distribution software. These obsolete numbers are often associated with issues related to items not appearing or not appearing correctly on the website. We have finally completed updating our website software and those numbers are no longer recognized. |
Q. | If I can’t use your old series numbers, is there an easy way to figure out what series numbers to use? |
A. | First, we now refer to diamonds, gemstones, and metals “by name”. In the “Series or SKU” field, type in the first three or more letters of the name of the product you wish to order. If you need to order a sapphire, you can enter “sap” or type the entire word and then make a selection from the list. If you need to order sizing stock or wire, do the same thing. |
Q. | What is a series? |
A. | The series is a number or name associated with a product or style of product. In our printed materials, it is usually printed in bold type. A series can have many SKUs related to it. |
Q. | What is a SKU? |
A. | A SKU is a unique number that identifies an exact item. You can find it on any filling label or invoice that you receive from Stuller. It is referred to as the Item #. It makes reordering items quick and easy since you only have to enter a single value. An example of a SKU is 309:26103:S. This is a quick way to reorder a 309, 14 K White, .07 CT head. |
Q. | I’m having trouble using this form. Is there someone I can contact for assistance? |
