What data is provided?
We provide the same data you would see for an item on its Stuller.com product page. This includes all attributes, specifications, price, availability, and media associated with an item. More information on how our images are provided can be found in the Images tab.
What is a finished good?
A finished good is an item that can be sold to an end-consumer as-is, without requiring a customization for it to be considered ready-to-wear.
Do I have to change the item number when I list it on my site?
Yes. It is mandatory that you change the item number seen on Stuller.com. Please review our updated Ecommerce Guidelines for more information.
Can I make my own item descriptions?
Yes, our data can be used as a reference if you would like to create your own unique item descriptions to associate with your listings.
Do I have to use all of the information in the feeds?
No. We are providing all data available, which is the same data you would see for the item on its Stuller.com product page. You can use the data necessary to meet your requirements.
How do I configure an item?
Configuring an item can be done via the Product API. Configurations include exact ring sizing, stone setting, engraving options, and special finishes. The purpose of configuring a product with the API is to retrieve the total configured item price, its estimated ship date, and updated renders if available. Details on how to configure a product via the API can be found here.
What is lead time?
Lead time is only applicable if the item has 0 on hand. In this case, the lead time will tell you the maximum number of business days it takes for us to have more of the item ready to ship.
What are the meanings of the item statuses?
Definitions of the item statuses are as follows:
Currently Not Available – Identifies product that is "Out of Production". Item can be backordered. 90 day lead time
Made To Order – Non-stocked item that is made when it is ordered. Usually holds a 3-5 day lead time.
In Stock – Item is active, stocked, and available
Limited Availability – Identifies an item that is sellable and available only when there is an on-hand quantity.
Out-Of-Stock – An orderable product that has 0 on-hand but can be backordered. Item will be shipped when we have more in stock.
Special Order – Item is not stocked. Item is non-returnable.
While Supplies Last – Used to identify product that is being liquidated through Stuller Deals. Cannot be backordered.
Inactive – The product is inactive and cannot be ordered.
Do you notify me when products are discontinued?
No. Stuller does not keep track of the products that you are reselling to know what products to keep you informed of. Our product data is available in real-time, so the on-hand and price you are seeing is accurate when it is pulled.
How do I update pricing and availability?
Data obtained from a feed is only accurate at the time the feed is created. Our pricing updates daily, largely tied to the metal market fluctuations. Product availability can change at a moment’s notice.
What price are you giving me? Is there an MSRP?
The prices are wholesale cost that you would pay to order the item. A direct MSRP is not provided, nor do we have any restrictions in place for what is set as your retail price.
If the login you are using as authorization in your API requests is setup for Stuller Showcase, a Showcase Price will be returned in each Product API response based on your Showcase Markup Settings.
When adding products to my custom feed, I am getting an error stating, "This category has too many products in it. Please narrow down your selection by choosing from the subcategories."
When filtering your results on Stuller.com, you are only filtering the Stuller.com view of the results. You are not actually changing the number of items in the category.
The product count you see on Stuller.com is referring to the number of "styles" or, what we call "series". These styles can break out into several hundred or thousands of individual item variations. Each change in a style, such as a different metal quality or center stone shape/size, will lead to its own unique item number.
Custom data feeds have a restriction by number of items which you cannot see from the category page. Most categories with 3C products will be too large to export into a custom data feed.
