Stuller provides insight during challenging times

Lafayette, LA (3 March 2009) — Matthew Stuller, CEO, founder and president of Stuller, Inc., recently served as a featured guest at an educational forum at the Southern Jewelry Travelers Association (SJTA) Show in Atlanta.

“I feel privileged to take part in this major international industry event,” says Stuller. “Similar to our business, SJTA is built on not only helping retail jewelers shape their stores but also serving as a valuable resource in challenging times.”

Stuller joins other select panelists to share his own unique perspective and insights to arm retailers with tools and tactics they will need to stay on the “cutting edge” for 2009 and beyond.

The Lafayette native joins the roundtable with other industry icons who have provided their expertise to jewelers nationwide. These panelists include: David Peters, Jewelers of America; Doug Kerns, Gemvision; Linus Drogs, AU Enterprises/Palladium Alliance International and Terry Chandler, Diamond Council of America.

Southern Jewelry Travelers Association is the nation’s oldest association for independent jewelry representatives. Each year their Atlanta Jewelry Show hosts hundreds of jewelers nationwide.

As of February 1, Stuller returned to daily involvement as the company’s president, as a result of the planned retirement of long-time COO and president, Dr. Charles Lein.

“Chuck has led us through 15 years of impressive growth and literally hundreds of major accomplishments, including our selection as a DTC Sightholder in 2005 followed by our sight renewal in 2007,” Mr. Stuller says.

“During Chuck’s time with us, he has become a very dear friend and has provided professional leadership based on his integrity, talent, energy and passion for excellence.”

In addition to consistent appearances at major international jewelry business trade shows, Matthew Stuller sits on the board of directors for the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta’s New Orleans Branch.

Stuller, Inc. is headquartered in Lafayette, LA and was founded by Matthew Stuller in 1970. The DTC Sightholder has 10 operations located on three continents around the world and provides a wide range of goods and services for jewelry professionals. Stuller’s core product categories include: diamonds, gemstones, finished jewelry, mountings, findings, bridal jewelry, tools and supplies.
