About Gemewizard™

Gemewizard™ is a pioneer in the development of software and hardware that provides solutions for professionals involved in the colored gemstone, fancy color diamond and jewelry industries, enabling the analysis, description and communication of color in gems.

The suite of products developed by Gemewizard™ is founded on the company’s groundbreaking color communication system called GemeSquare™. Users can accurately describe a gem’s color, and then communicate that information to other users, as well as to gemstone professionals who are not Gemewizard™ users. The system has been endorsed by GIA Education, and since 2006 has been incorporated into the GIA curriculum.

GemeSquare 2.0™

The GemeSquare 2.0™ is Gemewizard’s color-communication software application.

As does the Gemological Institute of America (GIA), GemeSquare 2.0™ identifies 31 master color hues, with each visible in six tones, and each of those in six levels of saturation, creating together 1146 colors. Every resultant color image can be generated in 15 polished gemstone shapes.

Gem colors are described using standard GIA terminology and Gemewizard’s alphanumeric Color Code. The system creates email messages enabling the color information to be sent to a third party.

GemeFancy™

GemeFancy™ is a color identification and communication software application created specifically for fancy colored diamonds. It has been designed to consider specifically the color range and characteristics visible in fancy colored diamonds.

GemeFancy™ identifies 27 leading color hues, calibrated according to the GIA Fancy Diamond color range, each of which is subtly modified into 36-42 different colors, representing the accumulative effect of the tones and saturations visible in the diamond.

The images generated by the software are described using standard GIA terminology and GemeWizard’s alphanumeric Color Code. The system creates email messages that allow accurate color information to be transferred to a third party.

GemePro™

GemePro™ is the first professional product tailored specifically for traders and manufacturers of colored gemstones, fancy color diamonds and jewelry appraisers. It is five times more detailed than Gemewizard’s popular standard color communication system. Among its many advanced features is the ability to record and report the history of the colors assigned to a gem.

GemePro™ expands upon the color defining capacity of the basic GemeSquare, which includes 31 master color hues for colored gemstones, and the GemeFancy™, which includes 27 main hues for fancy colored diamonds. In the GemePro, each hue is sub-divided into five sub-hues each of which is again displayed in 36-42 tone saturation combinations. This means that the system incorporates some 200 unique coded colors for each hue, providing a total of more than 7,000 colors.

The system defines the exact borders of the fancy diamond grades (yellow, green, pink, etc.), enabling a quick and precise definition of the fancy color grade. Once a color has been selected, the user may record his findings on a Colored Gemstone or Fancy Color Diamond report. These are subsequently saved in a database, and provide a detailed color grading record of each and every gemstone handled by the user. Bundled together with the GemePro™ is the GemeSampler&trade, which is a module that analyzes a digital image of a colored gemstone or fancy colored diamond, automatically defining its color makeup.

GemePro™ Server

GemePro Server™ is a multiple computer net version of GemePro&trade, designed to suit medium to large companies and laboratories, which enable to communicate and share analysis reports between stations.

GemePrice™

GemePrice™ is an online service and software allocating wholesale prices to gemstones, according to the Color Codes generated by GemeSquare™. It enables a user to ascertain the price of a specific gem, after defining its specifications by way of a series of simple to use drop-down menus. Alternatively, the user can browse through the price list checking various grades and sizes. Integrated and included in the system is the GemeSquare™. Prices are provided for the full range of grade and qualities of more than 50 types of the most commonly traded gemstone types, in 15 different shapes. Prices are displayed per carat, by piece or in multiples of pieces.

Prices quoted by GemePrice™ are generated by an integrated system that includes a color analysis of tens of thousands of gemstones being offered for sale at any particular time on the Internet, gemstone prices allocated by a panel of industry-renowned experts, and real time commercial data. The prices are updated once every four weeks, and users can update the systems by connecting to the Gemewizard’s price list center. Subscribers to GemePrice™ service are required to pay an annual fee.

GemePrice™ is only available to bona fide members of the trade. Individuals and companies applying to use the software and online service require approval by Gemewizard™before gaining access. Users wishing to run the GemePrice™system on a local network can obtain the GemePrice™ software from Gemewizard™.
