Consumer Alert Warning of Glass-Filled Rubies Issued by Trade Associations

MJSA along with several trade organizations have issued a consumer alert warning over the increased supplies of glass-filled rubies. Most of these stones are being sold in U.S. department stores and elsewhere. These stones are being sold as rubies with neither the proper disclosure nor the necessary information about how to care for the treated gems.
